This is one of my favorite spots to stop in for brunch, during a bike ride up the coast, I've never had dinner here but been this is about my 5-6th visit for brunch, it's a limited menu but everything I've tried has been delicious! I got the omelette today with a side of bacon and it was yummy, my daughter got the pesto pasta, I've had the fish and chips before too, pretty good service and calm quiet ambiance but the main show stopper is this view along the beach is breathtaking

Definitely 5 stars! The black mussels and scallop risotto are superbly prepared. The ambiance and food are all fine-dining caliber! The service from the front desk, the restaurant, all the way to the cleaning crew are all service-oriented making our experience extraordinaire! Aaahhh I want to come back for 'em all!

Touted as a fine dining experience in the area, configured I'd give it a try. Made reservation for 6:30 on Wednesday night to watch the sunset. Got there a little early and was promptly seated. Menu looked good, started out with a glass of Chardonnay before ordering. Our server gave us an overview of the specials which included a grilled swordfish and a risotto and mixed vegetables. We both ordered the special and settled in to watch the sunset. Unfortunately, the property does not face directly west, so there is no real view of the sunset. The swordfish was pretty good (a bit dry) and my seasonal vegetables were largely uncooked. The carrots in particular were so hard they were pretty much inedible. The flourless chocolate cake was a great ending. Parking is a bit of a problem as the Shoals restaurant is on bottom level of Colony Hotel and they share parking. Even when I got there early, the lot was full and I had to park way down the block. Expect to pay $50-$70 pp with a drink, appetizer, entree and dessert pre-tip. While I had an ok meal and experience, not sure I'd go back

You cannot beat the scenery for a romantic meal but since we were staying at the hotel, we fortunately got the same dinner table that we were eating breakfast at, so it was perfect. Our waitress was a bit on the robotic side and I felt like our meal was a bit rushed. We had barely finished our salad when the steamers came. My salad was delicious, with walnuts and bacon and fresh greens. My husband had the one with the pastry of goat cheese on top and he loved it. The steamed muscles were a star of the meal. The broth was so flavorful, I felt like drinking it. My main was the stuffed chicken with spaghetti squash and ginger. It was so good and the potion was huge. We had the banana dessert and it was amazing. The bananas were caramelized, there was a crisp and caramel sauce. Great dessert.,

This restaurant was downstairs from our room at the Cliff House Inn. The view and sounds of the ocean were such a plus to the dining experience. We started with fried calamari with Chipotle mayonnaise aioli. Delicious!! The scallops were huge and tasty. The risotto was fantastic!! And that filet mignon was perfectly cooked and so tender and absolutely delicious. I've recently been to Flemmings, Lawrys, and The Tam O"Shanters, and in my opinion, this piece of meat blows them away. Looking forward to stopping by on my next road trip for a bite.

Wonderful place for a couples getaway or a lovely place for Sunday Brunch. The food was delicious, with the exception of the ranch dressing. Maybe it was an off day. The fish and chips are definitely made in-house!! You can tell they are breaded right before they are fried. The service was very courteous and friendly. The location is gorgeous with clean outdoor seating.

The outdoor seating area is phenomenal!! It doesn't get much better then this, especially on a beautiful day. The service was great and the coconut shrimp was maybe the best I've ever had!!...and I know my coconut shrimp. The sauce that accompanies it was great. This place is worth a visit, based on the location and coconut shrimp alone. The fish and chips were also delicious as well. Great day and a great visit.
